Speaker: John McMahon, MBA, CRSP, CMIOSH
In his role as Director of Operations, John is responsible for managing the COR Program for the Food Industry Occupational Safety Association of BC (FIOSA). He is an accomplished Occupational Health & Safety practitioner with extensive international experience in both the public and commercial sectors. He has worked in a range of diverse sectors including food manufacturing, aviation, retail, logistics, leisure & hospitality.
After graduating from the University of Strathclyde (Scotland) with an honours degree in Environmental Health, John started his career as a Government Inspector in the UK, before moving on to senior posts with a number of well known and successful global brands. John’s last position before he moved to Canada was Trading Law Manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland with Tesco, the largest food and grocery retailer in Europe. John also holds an MBA from the University of Glasgow, is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (UK) and also holds the Canadian Registered Safety Practitioner designation.
