Speaker: Peter T. Ficzycz CRSP
Peter Ficzycz is a dedicated Occupational Hygienist with over 25 years of environmental, health, and safety experience.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology (Environmental Toxicology) from Simon Fraser University, and an Environmental Health Diploma from B.C.I.T. In addition he has achieved the CRSP designation from the Board of Canadian Safety Professionals; has a Certificate of Public Health Inspection and is an active member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association
Peter began his safety career working for the Ministry of Labour, Occupational Environment Branch before moving to W.C.B. of B.C., Prevention Division. He then moved to BC Hydro where he held varied positions of increasing responsibility. His last position before setting up his own consulting company was Program Manager – Health & Safety Audit Services Enform (Alberta).
Peter has published numerous articles in technical journals, facilitated training and made presentations at prestigious conferences. He understands the importance of professional development and regularly updates his specialist knowledge.
Peter lives in Port Moody, BC where he is an active member of the community. He is currently Assistant Coach Ski and Snowboard Racing Team at Port Moody Sr. Secondary School.
